Pastor Bill will be in Sacramento with the Youth this week. If you need pastoral guidance or assistance, please contact the office and we will get one of our retired Pastors for you.

Prayer Group – Come join us as we pray for the needs of our congregation each Monday at 11:00 AM.

How about the new stripes!?! Thank you to the youth for all their hard work painting the parking lot. It took 2 mornings in our hot sun, but they got it done. A special thanks to the youth of San Pablo for joining in. And let’s not forget Pastor Bill and Maria & Pete Lopez – they were right out there with the youth working and sweating.

July 16-22 - Summer Camp in New Mexico at Sacramento Assembly.

August 19 - Brace yourselves - it's a spaghetti dinner! Another wonderful fundraising meal put on by our Youth, for only a very small donation of $7.00, you can indulge in a plate of spaghetti, salad, garlic bread, a home baked dessert (donations will be welcomed), and a beverage. Come on over to the Fellowship Hall between 4:00 PM and 8:00 PM for all the fun and yummy goodness the kids can cook up. Tickets are for sale now in the Welcome Center.

Chili’s Report: Our loyal Chili’s aficionados have chalked up another $210.00 in contributions for their devoted dining. Chili's has decided to keep up the give-back program and will be devoting the 3rd Thursday of each month to us.

The next Chili's Day for us is Thursday, July 27. Flyers are available at the Welcome Center Desk, as well as in the office.

“Thank you’s” for this week:

From Carol Hood: I would like to thank you for your prayers and thoughts during Paul’s recent hospitalization. I especially wish to thank Earl Richardson for all his kindness. He shared a lot of his time with me in a time of need.

Thank you for the love, kind thoughts, and all your prayers.

From Rita Myers on the 4th of July Potluck: I would like to thank everyone that attended our 4th of July potluck. Many Thanks to John & Merryann Palmer for the wonderful tribute to God & Country. Also a special thanks to Jeanne Zink and Joyce Ramsdale for helping me set up, serve and clean up the kitchen. Also, I can’t forget to thank Pete Lopez and my husband Ron Myers for cooking the burgers & dogs. There was a joint effort of many who helped clean up the Fellowship Hall and ready it for Sunday. Thanks to all.

From Mary Woolley:  Dear Mission First United Methodist Church, Thank you so much for the prayers you prayed on my behalf. Prayer does make a difference.

I got a good report from the doctor that the surgery took care of the cancer.

  God bless your ministry.

Going on vacation and don’t want to miss giving to God? How about doing an ACH (automatic check) every month? Call Merryann for information and then set it up with your bank. OR – if you have a PayPal account, just search for our email: admin@missionfumc.com and transfer straight from your account to the church. Bank to bank doesn’t cost anything!
