Welcome to our church website! We are so happy you stopped by to check us out.

We are located in Mission, Texas, at 1101 Doherty Ave. 1 block east of Conway, between 11th and 12th streets.

Browse around and see what we are up to. See if we have any programs you might be interested in taking part in. Got kids? Our youth group is constantly on the go - participating in outreach programs or going to the movies or camp - they are like a flowing river. You just can't stop them. The little ones have lots of fun too, with Sunday School and Vacation Bible School, as well as other seasonal activities.

Looking for a place to worship? What type of service do you prefer? We have them all: Informal, Praise, Traditional, and traditional service in Spanish with Pastor Baldemar Barrera. Check the calendar page for times.

First United Methodist Church of Mission,TX

Note from Pastor Bill: With new shelter at home orders continued 8-6 to 8-20, there will be NO Worship Services at the church.  Only Facebook Live will be streamed.

After that, I am planning to open the church only for all 3 services, 8 am, 9 am & 11 am, which the 9 am will continue to be streamed on Facebook Live. But if you attend, people must wear mask, use the hand sanitizer, the offering with be collected in a wooden box located in the narthex, no passing the plates. Attendees must not be sick and must not have any high risk underlying health issues.  All will sit with only current family members who are cohabitating together in the same household. Families must sit in every other pew as taped off. Do not remove the tape.  Communion will be with the small glasses and not intinction. People in line must stay six feet away while coming to receive communion.  Governor Abbot order GA 16 allows churches to have worship under these guidelines. God Bless and let's all continue the safe practices set forth to be safe! Wear masks, hand sanitizer, and social distancing.

Worship Service will continue, as always, to be streamed on Facebook live each week at 9 am where it will remain on our Facebook page as a post.

God Bless and let's all continue the safe practices set forth to be safe!

-Pastor Bill Duke
